This month, we meet at Phoenix Glass Studio for an up-close look at where owner Susan Gott and her staff of glass workers create beautiful glass art of all sizes. Susan Gott has worked in glass for 30 years and specializes in cast glass to create one-of-a-kind sculptures that can be seen in public art installations throughout the Bay area. There’s a wide variety of workshops and classes held at the Studio year-round with specialty classes held around holidays. In addition to a demonstration in the hot shop, the studio gallery will be open and there will be some works available for holiday gifts. She opens her Phoenix Glass Studio in Seminole Heights to us on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 6:30 pm. More about Susan Gott.
All artists and arts organizations are invited to attend our Arts Council’s monthly networking series. It’s a great opportunity to see one of our oldest working art studios in this area, meet other artists and talk to other people who are involved in local arts.
Our usual introductions section of the meeting may be omitted or shortened to allow for the glass demo.
