The Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins Jr. Veterans Museum is dedicated to the memory of American Veterans, and Hillsborough County’s participation in our nation’s conflicts. The park includes the Hillsborough County Vietnam War monument, the Veterans Freedom Memorial, and the USS Tang World War II Submarine Memorial. The museum includes displays of military artifacts and veterans memorabilia from the Seminole Indian Wars through the present.
The park hosts annual Veterans and Memorial Day programs, and periodic living history, reenactment, and patriotic events. The park and museum are managed by the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, & Conservation Department. The park is open on week days from 8 AM-5 PM and the museum is open 10 AM-3 PM including national holidays and is also open by appointment. Admission is free.
