The University of Tampa Press is accepting submissions now through the end of the year for two of its distinguished literary programs.

The Tampa Review Prize for Poetry

Postmark Deadline: December 31 annually

Winning manuscripts are issued in both hardback and paperback editions & authors receive royalties on sales in addition to the cash award. Each entrant will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to Tampa Review (mailed to any U.S. address; mailing outside U.S. can be arranged with a supplementary postage fee). The Danahy Fiction Prize

The Danahy Fiction Prize is an award of $1,000 and publication in Tampa Review given annually for a previously unpublished work of short fiction. Judging is by the editors of Tampa Review, and all entries are considered for publication. Each entrant also receives a one-year subscription to Tampa Review (mailed to any U.S. address; mailing outside U.S. can be arranged with a supplementary postage fee).

Tampa Review Prize for Poetry Recipient, Eric Smith

The University of Tampa Press also announced the most recent Tampa Review Prize for Poetry recipient, Eric Smith. 

Eric Smith has won the sixteenth annual Tampa Review Prize for Poetry for his collection, Black Hole Factory. The award includes hardback and paperback book publication in 2018 by the University of Tampa Press, in addition to a $2,000 cash prize. Tampa Review judges praised his manuscript for its exploration of an impressive range of traditional poetic forms while building an innovative, personal voice.
