The Palm Harbor Library is seeking local artists who wish to exhibit in the library’s John Brock Art Alcove in 2018-2019. This is an indoor space dedicated to displaying the artistic talents of residents in the Tampa Bay area. There are no set criteria for artwork, though the pieces should have strong public appeal and be crafted or framed to a professional standard. In addition to wall space for hanging artwork, we have four large pedestals with attachable acrylic hoods. These pedestals are ideal for displaying sculptures and smaller scale artwork that cannot be hung on a wall. A selection committee will choose artists to display in the Art Alcove. Anyone interested in exhibiting is encouraged to apply.
There is no fee to apply to have work featured, and the Library receives no cut of profits from any pieces sold. The point of contact at the library is Marisa Steuer, Art Liaison for Palm Harbor Library. Please visit our website to read about our current exhibiting artist and to view the application.
