CITY OF TAMPA ART PROGRAMS DIVISION

City of Tampa

The City of Tampa’s Art Programs Division was organized in 2006 and grew out of the city’s Public Art Program (established by ordinance in 1985). The Division’s mission is to provide residents and visitors of Tampa free access to artistic excellence.
Programs include:

the Public Art Program;
the City of Tampa’s Photographer Laureate;
Lights On Tampa;
the Riverwalk Cultural Plan, including the Portal;
the Win-Win Program; and
Public Art in Private Development.

In addition, the Division frequently works in a partnership capacity for urban design or planning projects. The Art Programs Division offers many free educational tools including lesson plans and other multimedia content on its website.
