Artists Advisory Committee

The Artists Advisory Committee is an all-volunteer group of working artists that advocate for local artists and support the Arts Council of Hillsborough County. They provide recommendations and undertake special projects. Those recommendations may include projects, events, services and programs that support artists’ careers and elevate the arts in Hillsborough County. The committee has designated the annual FIVE by FIVE event as their priority project.

The committee consciously seeks members from a wide range of the arts disciplines to represent artists in all areas of the county. Membership is through application which must be approved by the Arts Council Board of Directors. Once accepted, member terms are three years. Meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month and open to the public.

Interested in membership? Download the application and email it along with a copy of your professional artist resume to SimonsT@TampaArts.org.
